Chapas Textiles
With over two decades of experience, Tara Chapas is a seasoned hand weaver, influenced by her great-grandmother's family tradition hailing from the island of Evoia, Greece. After formal training in textile design at Syracuse University, her career began in San Francisco, where she managed a team of weavers crafting handmade rugs on Swedish looms. Tara also established the hand-woven private label for AM Collections, NYC, creating a renowned collection of fabrics. In 2008, Chapas Textiles emerged in DUMBO, Brooklyn, where Tara fosters creative collaborations between interior designers and textile artisans, earning international recognition for her personalized service and unmatched high-quality fabrics and designs.
